The new novel “Belated Amnesty” transfers readers to “Far-School”, the beginning of the 80s. The atmosphere of the “stopped life” after all, despite the hopelessness and trouble-free drunkenness, is permeated with enduring feelings for which a person comes into the world. This is male friendship, love, carried through years, solidarity and mercy. Unfortunately, it does not do without careerism, meanness, betrayal, now blossomed with magnificent color. The two novels are the “unhappy sentence” and “newly discovered circumstances” about the same. The story “A shot in a dash, or a case of a killed friend” – was created based on the materials of a very recent criminal case in which the lawyer played the main role in the justification of the “involuntary killer”. Written by a beautiful Russian language, all works of this collection are read in one breath.
