The first king of the Moscow state John Vasilievich, who received the popular nickname “The Terrible” is one of the most magnificent figures in the pantheon of Russian history. Under him, Rus’ -Muscovy turned into a great world power, becoming both the sign and essentially the heiress of the Great Roman Christian Empire – the third Rome, whose significance in world geopolitics could not deny. And for several centuries around the figure of this person and politics are raging worldview passions.
