Anna Mazurova – Muscovite, who has been living in the United States since 1991; Sinchronist translator. Accordingly, the novel is the story of the interpreter, the plot and form that has already stood out in recent years in a separate genre. However, in the novel we are not talking about narrowly professional activities and not even about an attempt to establish life as a transfusion between communicating vessels of two different cultures. Translation from language into language is in it a metaphor for social and creative implementation: how to “translate” himself into a public language of society, how to “translate” an intangible plan into a real plan, and as a person – to anyone, not necessarily a translator – enhances and broadcasts common opinions through a microphone of his private and professional life, to become at least a responsible microphone.
