Evgeny Lukin entered the literature as a translator of ancient Russian songs – “The Word about the regiment of Igor”, “The Word of the Foreign of the Russian Land”, “Zadonshchina”. Academics D.S. Likhachev and L.A. Dmitriev praised these transfers, calling them “the best in Russian literature today.” In the future, almost every work of the writer caused a lively response of readers and approval of colleagues.
