This publication carries out the commented publication of the sedate book of the royal genealogy on the six ancient lists of the XVI-XVII century. (including the oldest Tomsk and Volkovsky of the 1560s, discovered today by Novosibirsk and St. Petersburg archaeologists). This monument is the first attempt to create a consolidated non -painting work on domestic history of the IX -XVI centuries, written from the historiosophical positions of the Russian Orthodox Church and reflecting the concept of its then leaders – Metropolitans Macarius and Athanasius. Strengthening the country’s unity, understood as the unity of the family of autocrats of the Rurikovich acting in an alliance with the Church, the creators of the Steppe Book included a significant series of historical and hagiographic texts of many Russian lands.
The first volume of the publication includes the analytical introductory articles and the text of the life of St. Princess Olga and the degrees (chapters) I-X. The II volume includes the degree of XI-XVII, applications and pointers. The third volume contains a comment.
