Nikolai Pavlovich Antsiferov (1889-1958)-a brilliantly educated person, historian, local historian who devoted his whole life to the study of St. Petersburg. The author of the works “Petersburg in the poetry of Blok”, “The Life of the City”, “Soul of St. Petersburg”, “Pushkin in Tsarskoye Selo” and others was arrested for participating in the philosophical circle of “Sunday” on charges of “Resurrection of the Tsarist Regime”, left a 5-year link to Solovki and Belomorkanal. Having lost all relatives during the years of the blockade, Antsiferov transferred all his love to St. Petersburg. In total, he wrote over 50 books and articles about this city.
