The presented collection of works by Groddeck is compiled from his articles published in German at International Zeitschrift Fur Psychoanalyse, Imago in 1920-1932, also included the posthumous publication of 1951 in the journal Psyche. With a variety of topics affected by all these works, one way or another, the author’s basic ideas about the psychosomatic unity of the human individual embodied. Groddec’s studies, his clinical observations, conclusions and approaches to treatment reflect enviable scientific courage, intuition, sensitivity to the language and symbol, the clearness and health of thinking of a practical doctor. He poses the problem of the “analyzing” organic, shows the amazing proximity of the organic symptoms of the disease, which is a kind of incident with a person, and a symbolic order, language, and spiritual system.
