This book is the first part of a six-volume monograph on the personality, life and work of the priest Pavel Florensky (1882-1937). The monograph is a unique study based on the primary sources (primarily the museum and archive of the priest Pavel Florensky) and the most authoritative literature of Florenskutian studies. In many matters, the author is a pioneer and opens the reader of the “unknown” Florensky. The monograph includes texts from the works of Florensky, his letters, diaries, memoirs about him. The first book of the monograph is devoted to a thorough study of the genealogy and childhood of the future thinker. The author of the book is the abbot Andronik (Trubachev), the grandson of the priest Pavel Florensky, and this gives him the opportunity to tell us completely special about his grandfather.
