The holy martyr Joseph, Metropolitan Petrograd. Biography and labors

This book is the second, corrected and supplemented publication of the first detailed biography of the outstanding holy of the Russian Orthodox Church of the 20th century, Metropolitan Joseph (Petrov), the famous spiritual writer and church figure, one of the key actors of the church history of the 1920-1930s. He put his life for the loyalty of the Holy Church and the preservation of its inner freedom, Metropolitan Joseph in 1937 accepted the martyrdom from the God -fighters.
The book presents archival documents, photographs, letters of the metropolitan, as well as a number of his printed works, including excerpts from the multi -volume spiritual diary “in the arms of the Father.”
