The “Silver Age” of Russian poetry is a unique phenomenon in the history of world literature. At one time, in one country, against the background of the collapse of ideals and the existing social system, revolutions and wars, such bright, original, talented poets, like A. Blok and V. Mayakovsky, A. Bely and V. Khodasevich, V. Bryusov, K. Balmont and many others, performed in an atmosphere of general cultural upsurge. These thirty years gave Russian literature the constellations of new poets, new trends, new poetic schools, but the main thing is new poetry – poems that will forever remain in the treasury of world poetry.
