The general marine list is a brief biographical dictionary of the command personnel of the Russian Imperial Fleet from 1696 to 1917. It has 23 volumes. The principles of building lists are in their periodization on the reign of Russian monarchs and, in the framework of each period, in the transfer of all officers in an alphabetical manner indicating the main stages of the officer’s service (production and rank, place of service, award).
