The book “The first hundred years of the history of the expedition of the procurement of public securities (1818-1918)” is devoted to the study of the history of the creation of paper money and other securities in Russia, necessary for the country’s financial and economic development in the second half of the 18th – first quarter of the 20th century.
The company, created in 1818, was called the expedition of the procurement of public securities (EZGB) for the production of paper money, and it is with its appearance that it is necessary to associate the birth of a wide state production of high -quality paper banknotes in Russia. The EZGB successfully functioned in constant development until the 1917 revolution. After – the printing of money was transferred to Moscow.
