In 2014, a hundred years have been performed since the beginning of the First World War. But in general, this war was not reported, and 20 years after the collapse of the Soviet Union, they completely forgot. Despite the fact that this war was the first military conflict of global scale, which involved 38 of the 59 independent states that existed at that time, it is not reported little about it.
The task of this book is not so much to trace the detailed history of the forgotten war, but to tell about the real reasons for its oblivion, to touch on especially important moments, to expose myths that have entered the consciousness of people, and offer their interpretation of the date of its completion.
