Four totalitarian ideologies: fascism, communism, national socialism and militant Islamism – these are the topics of the monograph of the Norwegian researcher E. Sörenceen. The author analyzes the software works of such theorists (and practitioners) of totalitarianism as B. Mussolini and E. Gentile, V.I. Lenin and LD. Trotsky, A. Hitler, A. Rosenbeog and R. Lei, Side Kutb, X. Al-Banna, Maududi and Ayatollah Khomeini. All these movements strove to create a “perfect society”, although the representations of their leaders about society and the state were significantly different.
The author pays considerable attention to the national-pussy aspect of totalitarian ideologies. Of particular interest is the difference between Italian fascism and national socialism, which are often identified in everyday consciousness.
