Shelonsky N.N. – Russian prose writer and journalist of the late XIX – early XX centuries (accurate dates of birth and death are unknown). He lived in Moscow, worked as a teacher, then engaged in literary activities. He collaborated with the newspapers “Russian leaflet”, “Moscow Vedomosti” and other publications. According to archival data, he was a secret agent of the police department. Known for its novels, which can be attributed to a fantastic genre. In this book, two works of Shelonsky are presented. The hero of the novel “Brothers of the Holy Cross” (1893) in ancient Egypt, having accepted the elixir of longevity, participates in many historical events, for example in the Crusades. Another novel, “in the world of the future” (1892), occupies a noticeable place in Russian fiction and is one of the first attempts to create a full -scale Slavic utopia.
