Stories, novels and chronicles. Volume 1: Sergey Durylin

In the prosaic volume of the works of Sergei Nikolayevich Durylin – one of the undeservedly forgotten and tragic figures of Russian culture of the 20th century – a “hidden” Durylinsky prose entered. This is the cycle “The Stories of Sergei Raevsky” (1914-1921), the stories “The sweetness of the Angels” (1922), “Lilac” (1925), the story “Khivinka (the story of Cossacks)” (1923), “Sudar-Kot” (1924). These texts, with the exception of the story “Mistor” from the “stories of Sergei Raevsky”, were not and could not be published during the life of the author. However, they were all well known to the narrow circle of the “survivors”, such as the philosopher P.P. Pertsov, the artist M.V. Nesterov, composer P. I. Vasiliev and others, and caused unchanging and sustainable admiration.
