Alexander Alexandrovich Blok is a wonderful Russian poet whose pen belongs to poems, which largely determined the magical sound of the poetry of the Silver Age and at the same time became a connecting link between the literature of modern and classical Russian poetry. Above all the Blok appreciated Pushkin’s “secret freedom” given to the poet to fulfill his mysterious purpose. Poetry was for him, as Vladislav Khodasevich wrote, “the first, real spiritual feat, inseparable from life.”
This publication presents the selected works of Alexander Blok, including the lyrical “trilogy”, in which the poet’s life and creative path, as well as dramatic works, the poem “Twelve” were reflected.
