The pirate frigate “Royal Hunter” captures the ship “Provice” in the waters of the Gulf of Guinea, owned by the Royal African company. On board the prize, a casket was found with a secret letter addressed to the Governor Fort Jorda (Henrietta Island) Sir Henry. The captain does not have a “key” to the cipher, and the pirates cannot read this letter.
