The monograph discusses the political and legal aspects of the development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), created in difficult times for the defense and political goals of regional security. Today, the SCO has turned into a multidisciplinary international structure to solve the emerging problems associated with the adaptation of states to new geopolitical realities in the context of integration construction. It has become today an instrument for ensuring the economic development of the participants. The monograph can be used by the Member States of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, as well as the SCO bodies as theoretical material in the preparation of political documents and the mechanisms of legal regulation of various spheres of international cooperation. In addition, monographs of the monograph is used in teaching the theory of international relations, in the courses of regional studies, political science and national security problems.
