Wood is a small indoor Finno-Ugric people, which loses in the north-west of the Leningrad region. Due to the language policy of the Russian Empire and in the future, the USSR did not have writing and uniform grammatical norms. As a result of the Stalinist repressions, the Water people were almost 98% exterminated. Only 13.10.2008, by the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation, Vode was included in a single list of indigenous peoples of the North of Russia.
The tutorial made an attempt to combine various dialects of the Vodsky language and create a single, supra -elementary literary language. The foundations of vodsky phonetics and morphology are most fully represented. The tutorial is divided into lessons, at the end of which grammatical exercises and texts of the Vodsk folk tales in “translation” to the literary version of the language are given.
