Roman Borisovich Gul (1896-1986) lived a bright, eventful life. A participant in the “Ice campaign” of General Kornilov, then an emigrant, he became abroad a famous writer, one of the most influential Russian journalists, the founder and editor-in-chief of the “new magazine” (New York). Its autobiographical, documentary and memoirs are translated into many languages of the world. The Tom presents the historical novels of R. Gulya: “Scythian in Europe”, dedicated to the complex and dramatic fate of the theoretician of anarchism by M. A. Bakunin, and “Azef”, which is scrupulously exploring the problem of Russian terrorism.
