Francis Scott Fitzgerald, who announced the world about the beginning of the new century – the “century Jazz”, stands a mansion in modern American classics. Hemingway wrote about him: “His talent was as natural as a pollen pattern on the wings of a butterfly.” His novels “Great Gatsby” and “The Night is Tender” influenced the formation of a new world literary tradition of the XX century. However, Fitzgerald is also known as the author of brilliant stories, from which only a small part was previously translated into Russian. The “remission of sins” completes the complete collection of the short prose of the American master, and the stories included in the collection were translated again or presented in the new edition.
