Woody Allen is an American film director and actor, writer, author of numerous stories and plays, the owner of four Oscar statuettes and the most prestigious film awards: The Golden Leo of the Venice Film Festival and the Palm Branch of the Palm branches of the Cannes Film Festival. Allen deserved worldwide recognition by his witty comedies and psychological dramas and created his own genre – an intellectual comedy.
