Over the past two centuries, the situation in the Middle Kingdom has been formed under the influence of events and transformations that occurred in the world, imperialism, communism and modern capitalism. In his book, a professor of foreign history, the director of the Center for the Study of the Cold War of the London Economic Institute, ODD, Arne Vestad, is looking for the basis for understanding the foreign policy of China in the history of the relations of this country with the rest of the world since 1750, the year of strengthening the power of the Qing Empire over the entire China and the spread of his reign beyond the country. The author seeks to figure out what in the end China is in historical, geographical and cultural terms.
