The main achievements of physics of the twentieth century are associated with quantum mechanics. However, the outstanding physicist Richard Feynman claimed that “no one understands quantum mechanics.” Attempts to think about this statement and work of J. Bella led to the appearance of quantum calculations and quantum cryptography. The authors reveal the meaning of Feinman’s statement in the most suitable way for this. On the example of experiments made in recent years, they show the amazing paradox of the quantum world. The latest experimental results and fundamental problems of quantum physics are presented in the maximum intelligible form.
The great interest in the world in the second edition in English is also associated with the expected breakthroughs in applications, the foundations of which are discussed in the book.
The addition of the translation editors develops the main line of the book, clarifying the logical structure of disputes on the “forefront” of science. It also introduces the results published after the release of the second edition to the United States.
