After the accession of Crimea to Russia in March 2014, President Vladimir Putin in Russian society began to be called Putin-Krymsky. However, questions arose that it would follow the accession of Crimea, how to affect the situation of Russia, what will the West take?
In the book, offered to your attention, the author, on the basis of mainly foreign sources, not only answers these questions, but also gives the true causes of the crisis in Ukraine, writes about Putin’s role in these events. Particular attention is paid to the Western reaction to them, when, along with the criticism of the Russian government and sanctions against Putin, hot defenders among the Western elite were found – in particular, the Patriarch of World Policy of G. Kissinger came into defense.
Based on these materials, the author concludes that the picture of the accession of Crimea to Russia is presented in a distorted form – both in the Russian and Western media – and the background of the “Crimean increment” remains hidden from the public.
