The monograph is devoted to the study of the problem of authorship and dating of the tragedy “Prometheus Cut”, known in antiquity as a work of Aeschylus, which was first formulated by German philologists of the 19th century, and most modern philologists are decided in favor of the atheism (withdrawal) of the tragedy from the Eschilov Corps. Based on a detailed study of the external and internal evidence of the tragedy, as well as the features of its dramatic structure, the author of the study is inclined to consider the “prosh -chained” work of Aeschylus and date its creation between 476 and 470. BC. e. The book is addressed to classic philosas, as well as readers interested in literature and the history of ancient Greece.
