They are very different – these women who write poems. Different people-man. Different poets. He would scream his soul if he said that this is a book of authors of the same level. Most of them are familiar to me – the winners and laureates of different years of the competition of young poets of the Russian abroad “Wind of Wandering” (Rome) and the poetic festival “Emigrant Lira” (Belgium), in the jury of which I bring annually. I have long known others from their publications, books. I open the third for myself for the first time. Among the names and already departed, but living in our memory with verses, personal embodiment.
How are they delighting, these women? Courage! There is no paradox. The lyrical statement, sincerity, openness put the poet in the face of a huge open space – he is in the wind of times, he is scorched by burning rays of the day, the storm streams of the night fly on him, the testing views of his contemporaries, a jealous gaze from heaven – how did you dispose of the gift sent to you?
