In the new book of the poet and essayist Andrei Gritzman, essays and short prose, interviews and reviews published over the past ten years in leading Russian and foreign magazines are collected. The author reflects on the problems of the writer’s work in the diaspora, outside of constant contact with his native language and native culture. Modern media significantly changed the position of the author living outside of Russia, and to some extent united Russian literature, erosion of the border of the culture of the Metropolis and Emigrant. Significantly attention is paid to the “American” Russian poets, these are the famous names – Brodsky, Mezhirov, Khvostenko, and young, but already noticeable voices.
