Wilfred Edward Salter Owen (1893-1918) is an outstanding English poet. During the years of the 1st War, he was a company commander on the French front, awarded the military cross for courage; He died on the eve of the ceasefire. The first poetic collection of “Poem” was published posthumously in 1920. Owen’s heritage had a strong influence on English poetry.
In Russia, the poet’s work remained little -known. The full translation of the collection “Poems” is now first implemented by the St. Petersburg translator Evgeny Lukin.
The release of the book is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the poet-humanist.
