The Book of Pain consists of three separate works: the story “Non -Dominated” and two stories. Or, I would clarify, two novels. These three individual works do not have a direct connection between themselves. But nevertheless, I feel the collection “Pain”, as a whole work cycle, in which the pain, both the state of mind and the physical, becomes a kind of prize, through which a person looks at the world, at life, at life. As, as he had not looked at the way of perceiving the world – not terrible – just as one of the ways to perceive the world. Evgeny Grishkovets
