The granddaughter of the gypsy, the daughter of a Russian actor and Frenchwoman, who was born in 1885, Ballerina Natalya Trukhanova, is more famous in France, where she lived from 1905 to 1937 than in Russia, where she is known as the wife of General Graf Ignatiev, the author of memoirs “50 years in the ranks” reprinted by Zakharov.
