My life: Konstantin Korovin

In November 2011, it takes 150 years since the birth of Konstantin Alekseevich Korovin. The brilliant master of landscape painting, a wonderful portraitist and theater decorator, the founder of Russian impressionism, he left a great artistic and literary heritage, which is difficult to overestimate. His life and work took place in an era rich in historical events, fate brought him to the outstanding people of his time – artists, actors, theater figures, philanthropists, many of whom became his close friends. Among them, M. A. Vrubel, V. A. Serov, I. I. Levitan, V. D. Polenov, A.K. Savrasov, F. I. Chaliapin, S.I. Mamontov et al.
