The dictionary consists of two parts: the English-Russian and Russian-English, and contains about 120,000 words and phrases that are most common in modern Russian and English. The dictionary was compiled on the basis of V.K. Muller’s dictionaries: a large English-Russian dictionary and a large Russian-English dictionary, but is essentially a new publication, since these dictionaries were subjected to processing, correction and addition.
The dictionary was developed to help students, schoolchildren and everyone who improves their knowledge in learning the language. To this end, dictionary have been updated and significant work was carried out to select and select words and their meanings. If necessary, some words are also accompanied by a grammatical characteristic.
For the convenience of the reader and the exclusion of errors in pronunciation in vocabulary articles, a transcription adopted according to the international phonetic system is presented. A feature of the dictionary is the presence of phonetic transcription in English words in the Russian-English part.
