Karl Gustav Mannerheim (1887 – 1951) was the general of the Russian Imperial Army, took part in the Russian -Japanese and First World War. After the October Revolution, he headed the first Finnish state. Having become a marshal, commander in chief of the Finnish armed forces, fought twice against the USSR. In 1944, he became the first president of Finland, provided the country with post -war sovereignty.
