Saint John Chrysostom is one of the greatest fathers of the Ecumenical Church. He left us a huge literary heritage and liturgical. In his explanation of the Holy Scripture, the saint showed how the Bible could become a true mentor of man. Explaining the sacred books, he often made deviations on modern public and moral topics, constantly emphasizing the connection of what was said in the Old and New Testament with the spiritual life and actions of a Christian. It was this that made his biblical interpretations so attractive both for his contemporaries and for all subsequent generations.
