Indian philosophy. Encyclopedia: Stepanyants, Androsov, Watman

The encyclopedia is the most complete arch of knowledge about Indian philosophy from antiquity to the present day in the domestic literature and contains more than 500 articles written by leading Russian specialists and devoted to categories, personalities and chosen monuments of philosophical thought of India. The publication describes the early stage of the development of Indian philosophy, six classical trends – Darshan, the philosophy of Buddhism and Jainism, analyzes the traditions of tantrism, bhakti, neoinduyism, the activities of modern philosophers and scientists of India are characterized, and the achievements of Russian and foreign philosophical studies over the past decades are reflected.
