The book of a military historian details the development of the ideas of the practical implementation of ice and unit swimming submarines of the domestic fleet in the Baltic and the Far East, the outstanding contribution of shipbuilders to the creation of ships that can swim under the centuries of the Arctic and achieve the North Pole under water. The heroism and courage of Soviet and Russian submariners when combating military service in the Polar basin are shown.
