The monograph is devoted to the processes of forming the historical memory of the Second World and World War II in the youth of the Slavic countries of Eastern Europe. The authors analyze modern textbooks of the history of Russia, Belarus. Ukraine, Poland, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic. Slovakia. Serbia and Croatia, distinguish the general and special in narratives about the events of 1939-1945, reveal the conditionality of the approaches and interpretations of history in school textbooks of individual countries by the conjuncture of international relations. A special section is devoted to the knowledge and ideas of schoolchildren about the Second World War, which are investigated on the basis of tests and works. This approach allowed the authors to show the degree of influence of various factors on the historical consciousness of the younger generation.
