Vorontsov-Dashkov was in demand at the turning point of Russian history. As a statesman, he advanced in the era of counter -reform, being one of its expressive figures. Having before that 25 years of military service experience, at 43 he was immediately awarded the highest ministerial posts. His life was saturated with events that distinguished the domestic history of the mid-19th and early 20th centuries-whether it was the Caucasian war or the conquest of Central Asia, the Russo-Turkish war of 1877-1878, or the political crisis of the turn of the 70-80s, the era of counter-regions or the Caucasus of the early XX century.
