I hope – we will conspire easily. Letters 1933-1937: Tsvetaeva, Rudnev

The correspondence of M. Tsvetaeva and V. Ruudnev, the editor of the most famous emigrant magazine of the first half of the 20th century, “Modern Notes”, where Tsvetaeva’s works were published from the first numbers published in Paris, made up the correspondence of M. Tsurateva. Despite the outwardly the business nature of letters, they reveal the history of the relations of two complex conflicting people who find themselves in difficult life situations, but able to support each other, understand and … “easily conspire.”
Most of the texts are published for the first time. The section “Applications” included the memoirs of contemporaries about V. Rudnev, an outstanding, talented person who did a lot to preserve Russian culture in exile.
