In the XX and beginning of the XXI century, the usual cultural hierarchies repeatedly collapsed. Categories of high and low were revised, even canceled, but also proved their necessity and versatility. This collective monograph is focused on the interaction of high and low in styles and stylistics, in behavioral aesthetics and artistic skill. The paradoxes of coexistence, conflicts, high and low metamorphoses in their aesthetic, artistic, philosophical understanding become the subject of research on this three -volume. In the first volume, we are talking about the history of art, starting from antiquity. The second volume is dedicated to the culture of the XX century before the birth of a computer virtual space. The third volume analyzes the refractiveness of high and low in art, literature and popular culture of recent decades.
