The most complete correspondence case between the philosopher Leo Shestov (1866-1938) and psychoanalyst doctor Max Eitingon (1881-1943), identified to date, was collected and commented in this edition. Published fragmented in the book of N.L. The Baranov-Street Life of Leo Shestov (1983), this correspondence, presented in a holistic form, reveals not only new details in the biographies of both correspondents, but also introduces the panorama of the intellectual life of Europe in the 20-30s of the past century. The book in detail, on the basis of archival materials, considers the episode of L. Shestov’s trip to Palestine in the spring of 1936.
