Konstantin Makovsky is a master of historical painting. He worked both in the genre of the portrait, and his work created a whole gallery of images of outstanding personalities of the era in which he lived. Gathered together, paintings give an idea of the level of talent of a wonderful artist. Friendship with some of the artists, whose art was not close to him, allowed him to see and reflect in his work the realities of the modern world. Disputes about the significance of his work for Russian art are still not subside, but everyone recognizes his outstanding talent and enormous performance. His works are stored in museums in the world and in private collections.
