The name of this exhaustive anthological collection could become almost any line of the famous poem by Fedor Glinka about Moscow. But, perhaps, this is precisely this – “Medicip city, heart city” – the most important thing is said about the position of our ancient capital, and about the feeling that all of Russia has long been experiencing for it. Of course, the cordiality of the Muscovites themselves is implied here … But it is not for nothing that the people are said and completely different: “Moscow does not believe in tears.” In the poems of hundreds of Russian poets about Moscow, a feeling of power and the unfading charms of the “heart” hail expressed. But in the same poems, over the centuries of those who have developed into a single inspired story, it is true not only about the sovereign greatness and courage, but also about the centuries -old cruelty of Russian history. The word far from the idyll and empty word word is pronounced with love and pain, inspired by the memory of the heart.
