“Golden Rush” is a continuation of the well -known novel by Nikolai Pavlovich Zadornov “Amur -Batyushka”. In recent decades of the XIX century, rich gold placers have been discovered at numerous cupid trims. Directed by the need and deprivation, the immigrants of whole villages went to the taiga to wash noble metal. Here and here, in the depths of the Amur forests, the “fraternal republics” of prospectors arose with their laws and rulers. Some of them even entered into an open struggle with the tsarist authorities.
The life of one of these “republics” is described in the novel.
