Anthony, Metropolitan Surozhsky (in the world Andrei Borisovich Bloom) was born on June 19, 1914 in Lausanne, in the family of an employee of the Russian diplomatic service. The ancestors along the father – immigrants from Scotland, settled in Russia at the beginning of the 18th century; According to his mother, he is related to composer Alexander Skryabin.
