The documentary-historical novel “General Brothers”, based on harsh real events, tells of the fate of the two brothers, generals of the General Staff of the Russian Army, during the years preceding the revolution of 1917 and after it, including the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period. The heroes of the novel are immersed in the real historical atmosphere of those years, in the political, artistic, cultural and interesting household environment. Combat stirrup, love, art are interwoven in the novel, as in life.
This is a clear novel written in the form of the memoirs of his heroes. He explores the complex interaction of the two main ways of Russian life after a great revolutionary fault personified in the images of two General brothers, in Soviet Russia and in emigration. Their families are also divided by a Russian storm. In the novel there are many historical, artistic and lyrical pages dedicated to Moscow, old and new Russia, Western Europe, and there are also original poems by the author.
