One of the main tasks of the course of mathematics is the development of strong computational skills by children. However, the analysis of the control and verification work of primary schoolchildren convinces that students make a lot of errors in the calculations that are mainly individual in nature. The necessary step in conducting work on errors is to identify the causes of their appearance. For this purpose, the authors have developed and tested cards of prevention and diagnosis of errors that are contained in this manual. The identification of errors and gaps in students’ knowledge is also necessary for the correct organization of the study of new computational techniques.
