The young heroes of the story of the wonderful Soviet writer Alexander Borisovich Chakovsky (1913-1994) met at the very beginning of the war in Nizhny Novgorod and love each other. Then a message came about the death of the girl Olga Mironova during the explosion of a combat aircraft. Ten years after the victory, Major of the reserve Vladimir Andreevich Zavyalov saw an Olga’s photo on the pages of one of the magazines and began to search for his beloved. It seemed that here was another step – and they would meet, but the wounds of the war only delayed its death … The film of the same name was shot in 1964 by the director Ivan Pyryev, in the main roles: Lionella Pyryeva, Nikolai Alekseev, Alexei Batalov.
